HOLISTIC SPACES PODCAST

EPISODE 036: SELF-LOVE WITH FENG SHUI

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm happy to dedicate this week's podcast to the art of loving YOU! Many of us get very excited to show love to others on this holiday, but we often neglect to love and appreciate the most important person - ourselves! Practicing self-love can actually be easy and incredibly helpful for creating a nurturing, holistic space. Listen in for some of my favorite ways!

Which of these methods of self-love sound best to you? Or do they all sound great (that's me...)? As I mentioned, I would love to hear from each of you who make a self-care list on what you do to make yourself feel loved and cared for. If we share our tips, we can all enjoy full cups and help others do the same. :) Happy Valentine's Day, and thanks so much for listening in!

Questions about self-love and feng shui? Send them through for answers on our Q&A Sunday series, or check out our new 15-minute consultation calls to have your questions addressed right away.

Be sure to also sign up for our Holistic Spaces newsletter for monthly tips and tricks on living holistically and practicing feng shui.

See you in a few weeks!

HOLISTIC SPACES PODCAST, EPISODE 032

THE WAY OF FLOWERS WITH MARCIA SHIBATA

Welcome back to the Holistic Spaces podcast! This is our next-to-last podcast this year, and we have such an amazing guest. Marcia Shibata is a Master Shambhala KADO instructor, classically trained in Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, and has studied with Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in the Shambhala Buddhist community. She's also the co-founder of the Shambhala Kado School and is my spiritual mentor in addition to my KADO and Ikebana teacher. I'm so happy to welcome her insight around the path of flowers and bringing them into your holistic spaces.

  • What is KADO?
  • The meaning of "holistic"
  • Thich Nhat Hahn's "interconnectedness"
  • Our connection to nature
  • Flowers, "the jewels of the planet"
  • Flowers and your environment
  • Disposing of flowers
  • Bringing flowers into your space holistically and mindfully

Thank you so much, Marcia, for sharing your knowledge and advice for including flowers in our holistic spaces. I hope each of you will consider these ideas when choosing aspects of nature to add to your homes.
